Presentation day for Final Projects!

The presentation day for all of the Multimedia Authoring Students is on:

Date and time: Thursday, 12th of Jan. 2012. 2p.m. -----------> 12/01/12

Block B-4-02

Burn the project on CD and bring. You should have these folders inside the CD: PROJECT and EXERCISE. If you are a group put the exercises in a folder named as each group members's name.

Yet you will see some questions from First Chapter.
Action Scrip Syntax
Simple Action Scrip commands like gotoAndPlay gotoAndStop ( How they work)
You need to read about action scrips operators( +,-,>=,++,-- ... ).

Midterm

Dear Students

I hope you are having fun and things are looking up!

As HOS of Multimedia told me, I should conduct the midterm exam internally.

This week is the exam week and then you got one week for break. So the first time for us to have our lovely midterm exam would be the first session after the break week. And you really need to show up and take the exam. It is a very easy exam and you are going to have good marks.

Midterm Tips!

Dear Students!

As I promised here you can find the midterm's tips:

1. It is in 3 sections. Section A is fill in blank questions, Section B is TRUE/FALSE questions. Section C is writing the answers.
2. About timeline and its different parts.
3. Multimedia Authoring Process
4. Text and its different properties
5. Authoring basic functions

These are the parts that you will have questions from.

but you read all the parts.

Presentation Date, 17th of January,Mon

Dear students

I hope you did a good job on the exam. But if you think you did not, then you should concentrate on your final project.

The date for the presentation is on,Monday, 17th of January - venue : B-6-2 in the class- 2pm to 5pm.
please be on time.
The presentation has got 5 marks which I will give to all the groups that present that day.
You will choose the best 3 projects and the best 3 projects will get the hole mark for the project.
You can submit the CD in the same day or if you need to improve it you can submit on 11th-January on my desk.

Inside the CD

If you are a group of 3 students then you need to have 4 folders. One for the project, the other 3 for the exercises in the class.
Write your names on each exercise folder so I can tell you apart.


The blogs also will be important for your marks. Still you can improve them. 5 marks of participation would be given to you if you have an active blog. Each group one blog.

Any question just come and ask me in this week. Even if you don't know how to do something in flash ask me I will help you.

Final Exam Tips!!!!!

Dear Students

Sorry for being late for the tips. It was because I had a problem translating the questions.

1. As usual you got 3 sections, A , B and C.
2. Section A, Fill in the blanks and True/False questions.
3. Explanatory Questions. You need to name something or mention generally about something. Please take a look at the marks in this section and find out how much you should answer.
4. Section C, has got 3 questions you need to chose 2 of them and answer. This section needs more explanation from you guys. You need to elaborate. Each question has got 20 marks in this section and totally 40 marks for this section shows the importance of the section.

(Tips After this are more focused on the more important parts in you learning kit)

1. You will see questions from parts we covered in the class. Until chapter 7 ( I just mention about those parts that I did not mention in the class.)
2. About Action Script and its introduction.
3. If you have 2 scenes in your project and you want to make a link you need to use this code: gotoAndStop("the name of the scene", frame number); ----> gotoAndStop("chapter1",1); this will take the user to chapter one frame one. If your were asked just this is a guideline.
4. Read about the publish setting panel on chapter 10 completely.( we did not cover that).
5. About button event handlers.
6. The rest of the questions are very easy and you can answer.
