Final Exam Tips

Hey Everyone. I hope you all are working on your projects and you are ready for your final exam.

Here I give you some tips about the exam.

As usual you will have 3 sections. A, B and C.

Section A is about fill in the blanks and TRUE/FALSE questions.

- You need to read the Action Script more ( because we did not cover it completely ).

- From Chapter one till chapter 8 that we covered all the parts you need to read all.

- Read about Actions Panel. Chapter 6 topic 3. -->6.3

- Types of Publish files. 10.1

- Read about Audio (Inserting Audio and Video) 9.3

- Action Script 6.5 (chapter 6 topic 5) Read this part carefully.

- nextFrame and prevFram are 2 scripts that move the application 1 fram forward and 1 frame backward. Read and about them in chapter 7 and topic 1.

- Refer to chapter 9 topic 3 and read about sound properties.

YOU WILL BE FINE :)

Multimedia Authoring WORKSHOP!

There will be a workshop on Friday 30th of April in KLMU.

This workshop is about the Multimedia Authoring process. From the first step of gathering the multimedia elements till the last step of publishing the finalized project.

It is very helpful, especially for those students who have taken the subject or those who are going to take it later, to see the process all in 2 hours.

You need to write the project proposal. It is a group project.
Groups should be 1 to 4 students.

You just got one week to work on the proposal.

Tips for the Mid-term exam!

Hi there :)

I hope all of you are fine and ready for exam.

Here you can find some tips for the midterm exam. I wish it can help you to get a better mark.

I should note here that you need to read the learning kit carefully and what you read here is not for all parts of the exam.

• Midterm exam questions are from chapter 1 till the end of chapter 4.
• As usual 3 sections of questions. Section A, B and C.
• Section A is about fill in the blank and TRUE/FALSE questions. (10 marks)
• Section B is containing 4 questions all of which should be answered by you.
• Section C is containing 2 questions which you should answer just one of them.
• You will have some questions from Elements of Multimedia.
• You will have some questions from The Flash Interface( Tool box, Time line, Panels...)
• You will have some questions from Layers and how layers can be managed and created.
• You will have some questions from the first chapter about Multimedia Authoring Tools and Multimedia Authoring Process and Levels of Multimedia Authoring tools and basic functions of authoring tools.
• You will be asked about text. Read about Text.
• You will have some questions about Flash and Why Flash to use?
• The rest of the questions are from other parts which you should read them yourself.

Note: Please write your answers clear and in ENGLISH.

I will be easy on you for marking. It is easy to get 10 out of 10 for the midterm. So don't miss it.

Final Project

I am so happy to see all of you here.

As you may know we have started thepractical part in Flash. You need to do these for the rest of the semester:

1- Find your topic:

Find any topic you tink is uitable for you and wrie about it briefly in your blog. ( I will go there and comment about it, wether I accept it or not). You are supposed to creat a multimedia application like an information CD or Portfolio CD or Interactive Story Book and so on.

2- Write the proposal about it. Later I will tell you how.

3- Do the Aouthoring process as you will learn in the class.

So I need to see all of your topics by the end of this week, 5th of March, 1 p.m

Hi every body

This is the first post I want to write here in this blog.

I will use this method because I find it very convenient to use for all of you.
We can stay in touch using this blog when we are not in a same place.
We can share our opinions and experiences related to the subject.
We can share files.
You can ask your questions here about different things such as technical parts of class or submission dates or other things you may be concerned about.

This is my second semester here in KLMU and having one semester experience will help me a lot. For sure I need your help to make this class as great as possible so everybody can enjoy coming to class and learning something new.
